If you are going to buy a Dualit Toaster then this is the one to buy, forget the 2 slice models, they are not as good as the 4 slice, and forget the modern variants. Stick to this tried and tested version. However we are getting a lot of complaints about the build quality and reliability this generation of the old classic.
Buy lucky and you will get 10+ years trouble free toasting, buy unlucky and you will be wishing you bought a toaster where the manufacturer had enough faith in their products to give more than a one year standard guarantee.
The Dualit Classic Toaster has fully replaceable or repairable parts, so it will last a lifetime as long as you keep repairing it and pay to do so!
Exclusive to Dualit, their patented ProHeat elements have a protective layer covering the filament making them virtually unbreakable, we ask why only give them a 2 year guarantee?
Other manufactures making similar claims give long free extended guarantees to components they claim are superior, Vitamix 7 years, Matstone 12 years, Magimix 30 years.
*PainFree include Dualit as many users swear by them, if they would give at least a 5 year manufacturers parts & labor guarantee and extend the heating element guarantee to 10 years then, even at this high price, I consider recommending them to PainFree Shopping as a best buy.
Until then unless I find a vintage one in a charity shop you wont see one in my kitchen, my £35 Russell Hobbs makes decent toast and it has a 3 year guarantee.
