This  blender at 700 watts is powerful enough to  handle  normal everyday domestic kitchen tasks and will puree veg without lumps, mix soups, make mayonnaise, make smoothies, crush ice and chop nuts. This is a good everyday blender but is not a substitute for a commercial or high use blender which would need a more powerful motor.
